LPG woes

Any ideas, peeps?

On petrol, it moves like the proverbial off a shovel.

But on LPG, it doesn’t accelerate and judders at 70mph+, then loses power, then speed reduces to to 40mph, then engine cuts out.
I have to switch it off and wait a few minutes before re-starting.
A few miles later it misfires, loses power and cuts out again.

How much does an LPG technician/mechanic/engineer/magician bloke cost?

Sounds like it may be going lean on LPG so don't drive on LPG until it's sorted ;)

it's a 2003 2.6 with Tartarini system

Plugs were changed 4,000 miles ago, but the problem existed before then.

sounds like a vapouriser problem to me ... not enough gaseous LPG getting through. If it is a recent problem either blocked LPG filter or vapouriser is on the way out.... if it's a long term isue from install .. is vapouriser plumbed in correctly so as to get sufficient heat ??? ... recent cold weather will soon find a vapouriser problem out ....

I had this problem a couple of years ago, it turned out to be a split in the diaphram in the vapouriser a common problem with age I believe.

I have to concur... Been thinking this one through and it does seem likely that it's a vap fault. Could be plumbing or a split diaphragm :-\
