Who do you think have the best singing voices? The first three on my list are:
1. Karen Carpenter
2. Dusty Springfield
3. Chrissie Hynde (The Pretenders)

Most depressing singer Morrissey :(

From your list it would have to be Chrissy Hynde as best singer.

Most depressing music/band ever has to be oasis, they are so utterly boring and up themselves.

Definitely Karen Carpenter and Chrissie Hynde -- not sure about Dusty tho ----I reckon if Amy Winehouse got her act together she could be a contender in time.

Karen Carpenter is definitely at the top, as for Amy Winehouse I'm afraid she leaves me cold.... Not my cup of te at all.
I must say Duffy's record grows on you the more times you hear it.

Without going into the "When I was a boy" routine .... these days they ALL seem to be one hit wonders !!! No real long lasting talent. Mind you I guess it's because they either kill themselves or go insane !!
