Outside Temp Display
« on: 22 March 2012, 13:39:16 »

Hi all, just bought an omega and just joined the forum,I have read the posts about the common fault with the outside temp sensor and the error "F",I peplaced the sensor with a new one today and still get the "f" in the display next to the "C",I've checked that there is power to the sensor and that the sensor is working via a multimeter, 2.4 volts coming from the wire.

Can anybody shine a light on this for because I am lost with it now.

Many thanks,Matt

try the reset on the stalk, somtimes it works, or maybe the plug needs a clean.

Apparently the connecter just further along he loom gets corroded.  :-\ :-\ Clean up the connections or chop it out & join the wires permanently.  :y

I had this problem a few months ago and had Auto Electrics look at it for me. It turned out to be a faulty connection at the Connector Block They just cleaned it up and solved the problem.

Hi thanks for all your input,it's a bit of a strange one because of the 2.4 volt reading i'm getting from the wire.
As regards to the connector block would this be further along the loom from the plug that goes into the sensor?

Follow the loom back to the connector near the horns
