Mate's Car
« on: 31 March 2008, 20:41:05 »

A mate has a 54 plate 3.2 Omega Petrol Estate he is thinking of selling. Has FSH and is in generally good nick with 130k on the clock.

It's plod spec, manual and goes like the clappers !!!!

Any ideas what he should be asking for it ?

54 plate is a rare beast.

Age is the best thing going for it, thanks to petrol prices, i would be VERY suprised, if he got over 2.8k

Glass's guide has no price for a 3.2 MV6 estate - but an 04 reg saloon books at £3070 in top nick and £2770 for average - which tends to fit plod as not all extra's included, so within £30 I'm with Tunnie.  Private sale may fetch £3k - unless it's to another Forum member  :-X ;D

Hmmm -- at 2.8K he might well hang on to it and up the spec himself .. as you say it's a rare beast and, judging by the performance, has been chipped or otherwise engineered by plod.

Many thanks for the advice -- will pass it on

Its going to be worth more to him, just the fact its a 3.2 is going to put off buyers. Everyone wants diesel!
