If you mean one of these: http://www.justoffbase.co.uk/Draper-Expert-Tyre-Valve-Torque-Driver-46795-Draper-Tvts1

Then I do .. probably a bit far from Oxford, though  :-\

my initial idea is to try a couple of really fine flat end jewellers screwdrivers either side of the valve and rotate....   if that fails expect mighty screams and a yell to you aaron...

(i add that she's currently not here,   tyre is low but not flat....   and seems to be holding pressure on the valve cap...   so she's trundling along at low speed to get here , then i'll take a look,  have my mobile compressor all charged and ready....   as well as the one i keep in the Mv6 for emergencies....   )

I had the same problem once, long ago - the valve cap held it at least long enough to drive to the tyre place and for them to tweak the valve up (hence I now own a valve driver).. what a pain for a tiny little fault, though.

Anyway you have a PM with my number, give me a bell if you need to 'pop' down :)

You can make one from a thin flat blade screw driver......use a hacksaw or an angle grinder with a 1mm disc in it to make a really thin fork..

hope you understand what i mean..

I was just about to post the same thing (apparently my brain just woke up ;D) :)

Unless of course it's one of those newfangled cars with just a can of tyre gunk :(

sorted chaps...  thanks aaron....    appreciated mate, you can go to bed now ;)

, spare wheel on.....     tyre didn't make it here.....  turned out not to be loose valve core, but knackered valve base....

they're off to cardiff, running later than planned... but mobile....   i've made sure they've got the breakdown service number, and policy number...    hope i don;t have to go out to rescue them again....

Glad you are sorted, I am pretty sure I have some dust caps, somewhere, with a valve remover on the end of them, used to be quite common on cars and bikes...... :)
