oil leak

 :( hi all
i need some advice please, i have an oil leak on my omega 2.6 which is smelling of burning oil i am told it is cylinder head gasket  and would require engine out ,,is this true and how much cash damage can i expect.. hope someone can give me good advice thankyou in advance and kind regards to all

hi & welcome :y you would be better putting your help request in the general help section where more people will view it  :y
i suspect it will be your cam cover gaskets :-\ and can be done with the engine in

I'd be going to another garage if I was you. It's probably the cam cover gaskets which are leaking. Around 60 quid in bits and a couple of hours to do properly if you haven't done the job before

Cam cover gaskets mate - easy job as said above.

shoot the mechanic who said that to you have a look on the search bar as doz said cam cover gaskets
