Daft Q, does he get them after eating tomatoes?  I assumed I always just suffered, but somebody pointed out it was an allergy, and they were right. If I eat a tomato, I get a gob full of them.

He hates tomatoes, saying that though, chocolate aggravates it.

Yep agree with the salt idea. I used to get them after eating pineapple. So stopped eating it for probably 20 years and hey presto no more ulcers. Just started eating pineapple again as part of my "5 a day"  ::) and so far no problems. Hopefully grown out of it.

Lick finger dip in salt and apply to ulcer, def hurt like hell. Repeat every 5 mnutes untill pain so bad, and taste so bad and hopefully gone in the morning. It worked for me.
Too much salt puts me in the chunder zone ;D

Might be worth giving up that for a month to prove. Once you know the problem, you're over halfway there.

I still eat tomatos, but know they will screw me...

Used to be able to get some great tablets that you let disolve on the buggers, hurt like you wouldn't believe, but cured it in 36hrs.

Said tablets were banned, and replacements were hopeless.

trust me on the lettuce thing though it really does work, get him to chew it up and hold it against the ulcers, he can spit it out or eat it but it needs to be there for at least 30seconds to 1 minutes

That works? He is genuinely in pain, but refuses to take anything  >:(

I personally use salt.  Doesn't cure them, and hurts like buggery, but numbs it for a few hours. Mind you, makes me dribble as well ;D

How do you know this, TB?... :)
