Waste disposal
« on: 28 March 2012, 23:22:52 »

Just seen an add on the telly for a new waste disposal unit called "the insinkerator"  ::) I would have thought this type of device would have been well out of vogue when you consider we are all being encouraged to compost and recycle. Also waste disposal units are being blamed as contributing towards the rat population explosion problem in some areas due to the fact that food waste mixes with oils and fats dumped down the drains and forms a "lovely soup" that coats the sewer walls and the rats feast on. Food for thought?  ???

Tell me about it  ;D

Trouble is, my big tinker is starting to get picky with his food.
He normally gets his one meal around 12pm everyday and the odd chew stick thrown in he has behaved himself.
Yesterday, I mixed his food up and put it down for him.  He took one look at it and went outside into the garden. I followed him outside and there he is stood there, looking at the rather BBQ  :o
Me and him had words and he just went in his cage and sulked for the rest of the afternoon  ::) ::)

For dinner today, he is having YESTERDAYS FOOD  ;) ;)

For such a big dog, he is soft as sh*t (as long as your relaxed with him)  but pretty switched on with it  :y
You can bet if you get up to make a drink, he will go and have one out of his bowl too  ::)

Just had a txt off swmbo
It reads .............. bringing half a cow home ............. get the bbq lit for 5pm and get some beers in the fridge   ;D ;D

Good job the dog can't read my txts or he will never eat his food  :D :D

BBQ round yours, then! Hm, Hull.. I could be there by dinner time..  ;D

I love rotties and dobermans - I think they're beautiful looking dogs, although unfamiliar ones scare the ever living bejezus out of me.. the pub near my old flat used to have a rottie as a pub dog, though, and he too was soft as anything.

I suspect the fear factor comes from the bad rep that both breeds have had for some time, though. I've never been bitten by a dog..

Although the minute you opened a bag of crisps you'd find a big, drooling head sitting on your leg..  ;D

Although if I was going to get a dog .. it'd have to be a greyhound. Big, soft, dopey things.  :)

I've got a 7 stone german / belgian sheppard cross.
I'm a 6ft bloke and most days when I walk threw the door he just wraps his front legs round my neck and trys to snog me  ;D
Swmbo thinks we are having a affair  :D :D

The first thing a dog looks for is to see if your on edge.  If you are, he might see you as a threat so I always make friends with the dog first  :y ;D
Briliant with kids and most people.
Dogs you have too watch him with but bitchs ............ thats another matter  ;D ;D ;D

I love most dogs tbh, its the owners that tend to be the problem  :)
Staffies and Rotties are soft as sh*t as long as you are good with them.

If I ever work out how to put pictures on here, i'll stick some on  :y

Ooh yes, animal pictures! :)  :y

I've not been around dogs a great deal - I was a cat person as a kid - but a friend of mine years back had a couple of border collies; once I got comfortable with them they were great, although Raider (the boy) always enjoyed playing at eating your hand. Or your KFC. He wasn't fussy..  ;D
