Helicopter rescue
« on: 07 April 2012, 13:52:41 »

Hi all,The title says it all,my son walking his dog on Aberdare mountain slipped and fell injuring his knee and ankle. No one knew where on the mountain he was,but he had his phone,so he rung 999,in the meantime a doctor out walking dog found him. Helicopter finds them, and is now enroute to hospital, possible broken ankle. Update later.

He should be ok,his mrs is a nurse over that way,and his sister at the Universery hospital Cardiff,so he should be VIP at either of them.

Upper and lower leg broken, going to need plates in upper and also broken ankle. His dog(french mastiff) big softy! was ok,but I wouldn't fancy pushing her into a chopper.
Most probably be kept in traction until the swelling go's down, and then operate.
                                                                                                             Alfie,
I'm still suffering MAN FLU but that seems little potatoes right now.

Yes same leg,I did think that he was on his mountain bike, and could understand such injuries, but just to stumble and fall is just unbelievable.
