Woofers. They poo all over the place, get fleas leave fur all round the house demand to be taken out in all weathers. Cost loads when they get sick. Tie you down if you want to go away and can't take them with you and can be a right arse as well

After all, she is a Lab ;D

Any update on Holly  ???

Still not interested in food this morning, tho she is drinking water, so im not overly concerned.
The vet gave me a tube (in a giant syringe type container) of what looks like liquid chocolate, that im suppose to squirt 5ml  over her food. (Its suppose to settle her stomach )
So as shes not eating, ive resorted to squirting this stuff into her mouth (It must taste ok becasue even tho not shes not impressed, shes doesnt spit it out)

I think all dogs go through this.
Our little Shi-Tzu, Mitzzi, will go a couple of days without eating anything, then all of a sudden she'll wolf her food down. Sometimes just lays around feeling sorry for herself. Much like us humans really.......

Sorry to read about Holly . Thought I would mention that friend of mine recently had similar with his staffy. Turned out to be a bit of rag stuck in his gut. Small op and £300 lighter back to normal.

Worth checking out as can become nasty. Hope Holly gets better soon

Hi Dave. I remember Holly. Just phoned Dad..(retired vet) who owns an elderly black lab dog. Firstly has Holly been spayed? I know it sounds a silly question for an older dog but if she has a womb infection this could be the answer. You say she's drinking water but is she drinking more than usual?
To tempt her to eat try tinned sardines in oil or ox tongue from a good butcher, only the sickest of dogs can resist these.

Tomorrow go to your local chemist & buy some Dio calm tablets & give her 1 tablet twice a day...break them up & sprinkle them on her ox tongue & sardines if she won't swallow the tablets. Has she been x rayed to find any intestinal blockages?

Dad says to let him know so he can help further if need be. Hopes with you both, Guy.
