New TV opinions...
« on: 10 April 2012, 13:02:36 »

Hi all,

SWMBO wants a tv in the bedroom asap  ::)

We're looking at getting a 32" model with a price tag of no more than £200.

Any opinions on what to get or avoid please?

TIA :y

Got one of these for £199 for my other half (not sure which model) also got the free delivery with it.

Obviously it will never compete with a 1080p 42" screen but I must admit to being rather impressed with the picture qualiry, nice and sharp picture, plenty of connections, ideal for a bedroom.

Saw one issue on a film (Bodygaurd) the hair in on the singers sister when she admitted to the contract on her. It when all shaeded in a low light shot, but not seen anything else to complain of.

32 inch in bedroom is OTT I think. Should not be the main focal point I would suggest.

17 to 19 inch max surely.

Depends on size of room and whether or not wall mounted I suppose but maybe read a few books and other pastimes.

I personally don't want one in the room, but SWMBO does ???

The bedroom is quite large and will be wall mounted. We borrowed a 19" off a friend recently, but was like a postage stamp on the wall ::)

full irmscher body kit or
respray the car or
holiday.....   but no, SWMBO knows best :o

Not forgetting the other one-liners they also give Dave!

You can't afford to be exhausted tonight, you've got all those DIY jobs you said you'd do tomorow.
I can't tonight, I've work early tomorow.
Seriously, do you ever think of my feelings at all - not used when you've bought her shoes earlier though  ::) ;D

Dave, whatever you do, don't get a 'large screen' LCD type TV, look at the hassle I ended up having with 'ghosting' >:(

Yep, had most of them too Mike ::)

If I had any say I'd not bother with a tv in the room, barely watch the one in the lounge, tbh. :(

At the end of the day there is probably not a lot to do in Bromsgrove anyhow - go for a Curry's Logika

You concidered a projector set-up on a white wall rather than a 'TV on the wall', you could fit the projector on the roof out of the way ::) ;)
