Sodding Gearbox
« on: 12 April 2012, 16:54:58 »

Only last month did I fit a known good AR35 to my Omega

Last couple of days, it seems to give a good "thud" when applying some throttle from very low coasting speeds.

ATF level is fine.

Anyone got a match? Are these autoboxes made out of chocolate?  :(

No fault codes.

Maybe it's a sign that I should have chucked a manual box in there...

I have heard in the past the AR boxes don't like being left stood with no fluid in them. I wonder if this happened with the one you've fitted?

Maybe, though I would have thought unlikely. It drove us up to Amsterdam and back no problem, a couple of weeks ago!

Do you have access to another 3.2 auto?

After Auto Addict's problems, wonder if its worth trying an ECU...

If it's a simple job, do you want me to pop down and swop mine over and try it in yours? :)
