evening all i have a 2.2 omega estate sport auto and im starting to have some problems with it 
  1. i have the spanner light on and off .
  2. the engine light comes on
  3. and when im driving seems to come out of gear and revs up , if i leave it it goes in to limp mode . If i change it to manual then back into drive its ok for some time .
  4. and a oil leek coming from behind the power steering pump as i can see it drips down.
 

 i have a obd 2 so i can take the lights out when i have to
 codes are without it happening again are
1 0303 (cylinder 3 mis fire) had a coil pack
2 1751
3 1555 (brake something )
  and a few others but cant remember . Any help would be great as doing my head in otherwise might have to get rid of it as i need a car for work .

A full list of codes would be helpful, but check ATF condition and level.

i thought it could be the gear selector . ill pop the codes up later today .

got exact same probs...its like a clutch pedal been pressed

thats right just like that revs up with no gear . Need to sort it

Had to buy some parts recently at my local VX stealership one of the senior mechanics who was outside the workshop remarked on the condition of my 2.2 auto estate & also told me to make sure I change the transmission fluid as most problems with the gearbox are rectified by this also change/clean the filter intend getting this done soon so maybe you could try this.
