I read that in the Mail last weekend seems a bit too good to be true "forty brand new planes packaged in crates buried!"
Even in crates the engines and other metallic parts will rust in that climate. :-\

I'll wait 'til I see them dug up :-\

Rumour has it that Cameron is going to have them transported back to the UK and assembled, and then use them on the new aircraft carrier when its built. ::) ;D

by all acounts its true they are in amazing condition they were buried in a clat type soil so kept the oxegen out
same as when they found 35 harleys and outher vehcles burried on the heath near where i live the clay soil protected them hardly any rust all the grease and wax paper still in good nick

weve trid but the law is there befor you can get your spade dirty plus its an old explosive storage & dump so you dont know what your digging into its a shame realy because there is hundreds of tousands of moneys worth buried there
