My son called me today, he lives in New Zealand so we do not see him often, he has just bought himself a merc 500 coupe with a 5ltr v8 in it. fuel is a bit cheaper over there  so he can enjoy it. Poor old dad has a 4 pot omega. (had a few v8's in my younger days).
He seems to be having a good life, he lives on his yacht moored in a marina and is able to walk to work, so good for him.

Sounds like he just needs his Dad to go and move in with him, and his life will be complete.

Good luck to him, sounds like he has a great lifestyle  great to hear somebody is enjoying themselves, I don't watch the news anymore everything that's going on here at the moment makes me wish I had emigrated when I had the opportuinity years ago & by the way I love Mercs had a beautiful 190e wish I had never sold it.

Yep would love to go but health says otherwise. and does he need dad to spoill his fun, he is still single, says he is not grown up enough to take on a wife and likes his toys to much, he been over there 12 years now, worked hard had a bit of luck with some properties, so good luck to him.
When he went over he took with him one rucksack and a 12' surf board, thinking he would be back in about a year, but decided he liked it so much we sold his house and car and he carried on from that point. Still miss him though!!

Good on him! Reminds me of the article I read in the paper recently about the fella whose wife left him so he packed his things, auctioned off everything he owned and went off around the world - he now owns his own private island in the caribbean

Its the cl, in black, he said it had some special merc wheels as well, but by that time I was in tears!!!! not really good for him , he works hard and has a lot of responsibility with his job. he has to take his boat out of the water soon to do the anti fouling, so I am glad I am not to close to have to help with that job.
