The fog switches do illuminate.  There's a bulb and an LED inside the switch housing.  I've seen a how to on here somewhere on how to remove using a couple of credit cards, I'll see if I can find it...

LED illuminates the icons at top of switch body, bulb in centre illuminates lower section via light guides.

Just to clarify, fog light switches illuminate when lights are turned on but don't change when pressed. There are lights in the dash below speedo that indicate when the fog lights are on.

This is on FL BTW, think PFL have indication LED in the switches?
