Blimey, that is some itinery.  :y

If you come to Spain, then the Picos de Europa in the North are well worth driving through. Ditto the Pyrenees (to get into Spain and to go back out of. As far as the south is concerned I can sort you out with some stunning scenic routes in Granada province.

I am planning on a two week holiday, so maybe not be able to do all those countries in that one holiday as would like to spend a bit of time off the bike enjoying the sunshine sight seeing. Spain is a definate as each time I have been we have loved it, but would also like to visit the not so tourist populated areas to see what Spain is really like. Think Italy would be a most if I was towards Spain. Perhaps those two countries plus France would be enough for a two week break?

Done a few trips abroad on the "ped" I'd had a excellent trip round Normandy looking at the landing sites etc.  Pyrenees will give you some excellent roads. How about a trip to the Nuremberg ring? Black Forest in Germany was cool. Did Assen for the world Superbikes one year but that was quite boring. Stay out of Switzerland you will get a ticket on a bike!!!! Then there is Italy. Bike mad and some of the roads are excellent. What bike are you taking? How long for? You can end up riding to long and seeing nothing

When are you planning to do this? I've been looking at doing something similar for some time time, taking in Millau Bridge, Switzerland, all sorts.

Depends on cost, but I was looking at taking a ferry from Portsmouth to Santander. That way you strip out the haul through France, however it is quite expensive, looking at £250 for that Ferry, its also a loooong time on it. But after you factor in Tunnel, B&B half way down + tolls its about the same.

However it would be nice to go through France, stay off the Autoroutes and just take my time  :-\

If I did, I'd go through the Black Forrest & try out this:

I was looking at going through the Pico's, into the South of France. Italy, Stelvio and maybe the Dolomoties. I'd quite like to take in Slovenia too, posts like this from the GS forum inspire me:

http://www.ukgser.com/forums/showthread.php?t=279715

I've currently got booked off some time at the end of May this year, still pondering what to do. Scotland is also on the cards, its going to be largely dependant on the weather!

I have an FS1E (Thunderace)
Thinking of two weeks break but like you mentioned dont want to spend all that time riding. Want to top up my tan whilst seeing some of the place we go too.

Start off by getting the ferry from costa del Hull across to Roterdam / Amsterdam
West across Holland then into Germany.
Head south on the 61, streight down the middle of Germany.
Stop off for a quick blat round the nurburge ring  :D :D
If you go late august time, stop off around Koblenz and the rhine / mossell valley  :y
Food / beer / scenery to die for  :y :y
Head south down towards Munich / Frankfurt and then further south into Austria  :y

After that, i'm pretty lost  ;D ;D

Plenty of places in Poland to visit but I am mainly used to the North, Kolobrzeg is where I always visit because my wife has her family there but they have fantastic beaches and also a Harley parade

After Austria into Northern Italy - head for lake Como area which is absolutely stunning. The favourite pastime of many locals is to tour the perimeter of the lake on motorbikes and maybe have a look at the Moto Guzzi factory which is near the lakeside. Then south towards Milan and you will come to the legendary Monza racetrack. If you time it right there might be a big racemeet happening.
Then on to Milan which is a beautiful city with many attractions worth seeing. Then just south of milan is Modena, home of Ferrari where you can take a tour of the factory if you want to. Just down the road from there is Bolgna - home of Bolognese and Ducati, where there are also factory tours.
Northern Italy is beautiful imo and well worth a visit. After that, work out how to get back to the UK without having to go through french France. ;D

Good plan.  :y

I have done similar tour holidays, albeit by car. Eastern part of Europe twice - Poland, Czech Rep, Slovakia, Hungary, Austria, Switzerland then back through northern Italy
Also done many trips in France, especailly south, and a little in Spain. Then of course, more locally in Germany and Belgium and Luxembourg (although Lux in small).
So it all depends how much time you want to spend travelling, what interests you in relation to seeing sights, lovely cities, or lying on beaches oogling topless beauties (or not) etc etc.

Rather than bore you all with the exploits, (OP) feel free to contact me directly and I'll try to help if applicable
