Pete did a few jobs on the astra on wednesday. Felt a tad sluggish at low revs so as well as a service I had the breathers, including crank breather and the throttle body cleaned.

Well since then not really used the car. Just been to oswestry to collect a new pram. Coming back down the A5 thought I'd give it some beans as I'm generally a steady driver and it goes so well now. the best thing is it looks like a 1.6 

Gent I bought it off did a few things like vectra c air intake, removed the pre cat and a straight through centre pipe with irmcher dd back box. Suppose it all helps. All this with 35mpg on average my wanting another omega is just about being kept at bay

Heard this is a bit rocketfuel-ish. Is that the 101 octane stuff?

Clean breathers and throttle body makes a big difference on the 2.2 engines, I found that with mine

I'm not sure of the octane but it's certainly seems more responsive.
