My 2.5 never leaked.

My 2.6 most probibly cant raise enough pressure to get oil to the top of the engine  ;D ;D

Got the following from GeffD:

Normally removing stem seals is like extracting teeth but the dodgy seals came off with ease. We tested loads of them and found that they were just not sealing properly on the valve guide. I'm sure they were colour coded brown where as the others were green. Vauxhall reverted back to the original seals - accountants cost cutting exercise that back fired as per normal.

This is very interesting. I'm just pleased that my diagnosis seems to have been right.  ::)  Something of a first for me.
Let me know if anyone wants to organise a stem seal party.  ;D
Seriously, does anyone have pictures of the type of seal in question, and how it's attached to the valve.
