Not got Tommy tom on your gayphone?
Yup, but like all Smartphones, the GPS receiver isn't brilliant.  Still got my old iPaq, but think the last set of maps I have for that are quite old.

I also have a TT with full western europe maps/speed camera warnings/screen mount you can borrow if required ... its a TT700 so no "live" inputs but works very well. OS is the latest 9.430, maps WE 885.4009 ( a month old . :)  )

Shout out if needed :)

EDIT .. I guess we now know which motor is going to France .... poor TBE left behind again ...  :(

Remember France's new poxy rule about speed camera sites. Take a TOMTOM with them on and your liable to get fined and have it confiscated.

Changes to the law in France

Since decree n°2012-3 was introduced on 3 January 2012 it has been illegal to be warned about the position of fixed or mobile speed cameras while you are driving in France. If your TomTom navigation device has the Speed Camera service and you continue to use the service, you risk a fine of up to €1500.

It is quite legal to have the "danger area" warnings in France .. just not specific camera sites. A "danger area" may be up to a kilometer long and may contain a speed camera or other danger.

OS 9.430 is designed to use the new "danger area" POI's from TT. Although I've not been to France to actually test it, running a dummy route it seems to work OK.

There is also a legal point discussed on some sites. French police have no legal right to check your TT, so if you get stopped just pull the power, they cannot demand you turn it on for checking..... or so I am told ....  again .. not checked .. and no wish to have that conversation with monseuir le gendarme   :)
