Miss fire 3.2
« on: 02 May 2012, 06:24:20 »

have a 3.2 with cyl 5 miss fire, changed coil pack/packs little better and on for a minute sweet tick over and reving then soon as warm and move eml on and miss fire back again, will replace plugs today but codes are 0205 and 0300 so question is will 3.0 injectors fit 3.2 enigne without any problems to try to sort the problem?

IIRC, the injectors are different on the 2.6/3.2. I have a few sets, though. I'll have a look and see if any are the later type.

More likely to be the wiring to the injector than the injector itself, IMHO. I'd check the security of the multi-way plug behind the plenum and the plug in the injector itself. Then measure the resistance of the injector itself. Should be about 12-15 ohms.

P0205 indicates a problem with the injector circuit, so doubt it's ignition related. ;)

Ooop, read what I wanted to see,0305, rather than what's there 0205.

The inlets I've drilled for LPG all had blue injectors ;D, if that helps. Only ever done 3.0 and 3.2.

Unusual for the ECU to fail, but if you've got a spare one lying around.... Could be wiring from ECU to injector, I suppose.

Live data time? Check lambdas and fuel trims? Might just be sending a weak cylinder into miss fire...?

Compression test?
