Haha starting proper tomorrow. Bagpipes out already.

Just watched the vid again and i think after watching it probably 20 times i finally get the timing of the cams 

one thing that immediately springs to mind is when you start the car after refitting i'm presuming it's ok to fill it with water.... then once its all ok do a flush and add ya coolant?

Not sure what you mean , cant see why your removing any water from system unless i missed something ...unless your replacing the water pump . Not done a cam belt change yet so looking forward to your diy , someone will be along to put you right mate ...
When i get some pennies saved i think ill let james change mine while i watch .

Yeah sorry mate. yes, ill be taking off the water pump. although i shan't be replacing it as im not spending any money on ralf (sorry ralf lol) i'd like to have a look at it to see what kinda state its in

My water pump was changed a few weeks back , it had the metal vanes and looked ok but suspect weaping on one of the core's on the back so it was changed .
Yeah ok to flush i would think then top up as normal
