cost of scimming a 2.5 head

my farther in law owns a machine shop in poland where he reconditions every part of an engine and we were having a chat and quoted the same engine as mine scimmed at about 40 pounds and a complete refurb of the head inc valves and  valve seats etc 175 pounds wondering how this compares to prices in the UK as ive never needed it done myself??

I had the head of my Senator straight 6 skimmed about 5  or 6 years ago. Cost around £30.

Had several heads skimmed over the years always around 35 quid
