Oh dear Aaronjb, sorry to read of your problems
May I endorse LD's comments
I'm fairly sure if you'd made things known as LD say's you'd have had some satisfaction
My impression of Roger Budden was like his car's he generally takes pride in being a cut above the rest

Notice how the advert says reserved, someone must think its worth the money. Cars are worth much more if it what someone is looking for.

Simple really.

A car is only worth what someone wants to pay for it.  If no one considers it value for thier pocket then it wont sell.

On another note, Chris mentioned glass's guide for insurance purposes.  They actually use parkers as that means they pay out les.  the motor trade generally work on the lower price of either guide to buy a car (Generally parhers) and the higher guide to sell (Generally glass Black book)

D.

Find me another, 3.2 Elite, with similar mileage for less.

Its worth that, because low mileage 3.2's are not very common. Given the state of most Omega's you see for sale, its worth it.

Also like to know what "book" you are reading!  ;D

Cheapest 3.2 on autotrader is £1,795.

There is also a similarly priced estate 3.2 with 66k miles showing reserved.

I presume you mean £1,750 D?

Mine
3.2 elite, 2003, 21K, 1 owner, yearly service, 2 cambelts done at 4 yearly intervals, 3 month warranty, full tank of fuel and I paid 2.7k. 5 months ago. Tyres had 6mm depth and I got a service, MOT and half price cambelt change thrown in. Not a spot of rust or dents or anything wrong with it.

So Mr Bugden seems like daylight robbery.

What book you looking at then D?

My 03 3.2 Elite is worth 3k according to glasses guide. Which is what insurers use to value all cars at market value. Now this one has even less miles than mine. Mr Budden is renowned for asking top money for his cars though, but they do usually present in top nic.

...although you'd think he'd pump the tyre up prior to. ;D

If its up to his usuall standard, 3.0- 3.5k might be more realistic. But having said that, that colour can easily knock 2k off the price.  :-X

I have looked at a couple of cars at 2 different occasions. I was not impressed, superficially nice, but a good few underlying problems. Tried using them to negotiate price and the response I got was that his were the best cars on the market. Lets just say that I left pretty soon.

Clearly got a good motor there D. Fair play.
But as you've seen, that is not the norm.

You don't really expect all omegas to be less than yours based on your car surely?
£750...? Almost as mad as Mr Budden? ;) ;D
