On the surface - strange decision, strange reasons given.Maybe his whinging has ended up playing mind games with himself and talked himself out of enjoying it ? Who knows. :-\
A hell of a rider, and a big loss to the sport, which tbh is in decline anyway.Personally I would loved to have seen him stay and then Rossi to go back to Honda next year (yes I know, its pure fantasy)and see the pair of them battle it out on a completely level playing field.
Just had a thought.................maybe Rossi has already done a deal to go back to Honda next year which is what prompted Stoner to go Kangaroo farming or whatever ?  :)

He doesnt sound convincing , its as though he has been forced to retire early ....26 and retired  :o Still if you have no passion for MGP anymore guess its time to quit . I can see him doing a few commentator jobs or maybe going into another area . BSB  ;D

He's a family man now so he's probably decided that he's diced with death enough times already. :-\

The rumour was mentioned on the telly at the last GP. On hearing the confirmation my first thought was, 'hmmm, Valli back to Honda '?
'Retired at 26' ? Why not, he has more money than all of us put together will earn by the time we are 65/67 or whatever. And yes I agree with b.d. In honesty I would be surprised to see Honda take Valli back, they would 'lose face'..  :-\

Under-steer is when the front of the car hits the wall, and over-steer is when the rear of the car hits the wall.
Power is how fast you hit the wall and torque is how much of the wall you take with you.

i cant stand the bloke
iam a big Rossi fan
but
i admire him as a rider hes very precise and great to watch as he slides the bike around,he made the ducati a winning bike while Rossi struggles to get it to finish so maybe hes a better rider than Rossi.
but i think he has some health issues with his arm and he struggles towards the end of races still, but i dont class him at a racer if he gets out in the front hes gone but he struggles when he has to mix it  and at some point in his life he has had a personality by-pass.
and he moans more than my mrs when i tell her iam going out for a quick pint at 7pm and come in at 3am in the morning.

I believe he's way better than Rossi. But sadly that will be measured by titles won, so I doubt he'll get the recognition he deserves, especially on the popularity front, which has an over riding influence for some reason. :-\

Having watched both of them very closely since early in their careers,I can honestly say that great though Stoner is,he simply isnt in the same league as Rossi imo.Im also pretty certain that if he had started a little earlier and had ridden the 2 stroke 500,s his lack of finesse would have saw him highside himself into the middle of next week very regularily and resulted in many broken bones and a short career.

Yes Albs, I've seen it. ;D Stoner is a far superior rider, accept it. No denying Rossi's class, obviously, but he's had his day and is too fussy compared to Stoner, who just jumps on it and wins... Mostly ;D

I honestly think that you believe if you keep saying it that will mean its true..................despite all the evidence to the contrary and no evidence whatsoever to support your case. Bizarre ! ::)

Now, see that, right there Albs. That's denial. A psychological state of mind, linked directly to a fear of honesty. Hence your ilogical desire for polotics and the world of bs.
Stoner is world champ! What more evidence do you need? It is what it is. Fact. Accept it, deal with it, and move on...  Although in your case, we'll just have to accept keeping up, seeing as your permanently stuck in the past.   ;)

A very strange individual indeed.Almost completely devoid of intellect, but always has plenty to say - very little of which makes any sense whatsoever. Very often uses the word "we", an old favourite trick of the insecure bully, when trying to convince someone that they are alone, isolated etc......bizzare.
Anyway,Im bored with it now,no real challenge in this silly little skirmish tbh. ::) ;D
