I took delivery of my 2000 model year Omega CD four years or so ago thanks to my Dad, Since taking delivery she has been very much a secound car covering 500-1500 miles a year only comming out on warm sunny summer days.
Given the limmited millage and ongoing restoration I was pleased to get an insurance quote of under £300 despite the car falling well short of the 25 year "classic" status from Peter Best insurance meaning I can continue to enjoy my weekend play thing.

Thats still more that I pay for my 3.0l (by some margin), and not far off what I pay for my 2003 3.2 Elite with LPG.

just mine £599 going to change it they want £55 a month cant afford that so going to age uk £403 that works out at £32 a month so getting shot of direct line asap

I'd have been pleased with that kind of price when I last insured my Omega in its own right a few years ago. I had quotes of around £550 to £600 .......... must be my crappy post code.

Internet-wise the opera bloke seems quite good but he couldn't beat my local insurance broker.

She is, & has been for years.

Can't remember now, but don't think they were that competative.

All cars now on a multicar policy ....... c£850 for the 3 of them, but could have 4 on the policy.

In fairness I am only 31 and have owned the car for four years with a clean license and no convictions, the car is garaged in a nice area and the quote is nearly half what am used too for the meg. That said this seems to be the first insurance company to listen to me!

She really does struggle for a thousand miles a year and is undergoing an extensive Restoration through Wilbury MOT & Service Center Hitchin every summer to return her to showroom condition after 12 years and 113000 miles in the family.

Thankfully it would seem that insurance quotes on these great cars are beginning to tumble, i to a have had what i consider extortionate quotes these past two years and as all ready been mentioned being over 50 do think my post code is of no help.

There are lads at work that would love to pay that for their car insurance  They're generally only 18 or 19 and are paying £3000 to £4000  on cars like Astras etc infact one lad had a bump (not surprising when you see him drive) & his went to £5800!!!!!!!!
