I love Indian food from takaways to home cooking. Not only curries but side dishes,  breads & rices mint raita & onion salad. Only go that far when entertaining on a guitar night. However recently came across a couple of new ideas from a place in Bradford when stuck on a night out but i can park the truck nearby.
   For those of you in the know indian food offers some wicked veggie dishes other than Bombay potatoes. You can have spinach or cauliflower but until recently never had the two together.
   Onion Bhajees. ask them to add sliced mushroom to the onion before frying... Onion/m'room bhajee. My local now does this on request. I've cooked the cauli/spinach but yet to cook the bhajees myself. Might have a go & if it works i'll bring a batch to The Lakes.

There's a superb village pub near us who recently subcontracted their kitchen to a local indian. Excellent real ale and the best curries I've had locally.

Oh, and mine's a Chicken Jalfrezi with Peschwari naan washed down with some Timothy Taylors Landlord.

I'm back in g UK until thursday AM while I move the wife and home to Germany for the next 2 years.  My Last Supper will be at Goa Balti in Eversley.  They do a very mean curry and they are super friendly too.  As for the cobras well I'm glad I married a women who doesnt drink!!
