I don't agree
We never will, as we clearly having differing views on what a 'race' is.

I think Monaco holds something special. Not sure what. Yes, it is the playboy captal for the rich, and participation in F1 is only for the rich.

Maybe its because its one of the only remaining original circuits. Maybe its because its one of the few places where the spectators can be near enough to the action not to need binoculars.
tradition...? Yes that seems to be more important than driver/crowd safety, run off areas etc ...the cars have evolved but the circuit hasn't, can't.

I wouldn't be sorry to see Monaco dropped from the calendar. Every year I pray for a damp race.

Having said that, I watched quali yesterday and it was good.

Looking forward to the race even so. Gross John was my tip before qualifying. Only a matter of time before the young lad wins a race.

OK, simple solution is you want massive run off areas, hold it in a field in the middle of nowhere, and not allow spectators.

Like most sports, spectators want to be nearer to the action. Smell the engines, the tyres, get the atmosphere.  Else may as well watch it on the telly. Or, more interestingly, watch the Dulux go off...

You are always the first to bang on about needing to see the sensation of speed. Yet want nothing near the track to give that sensation...

Trouble is, with the current rules/setup, it would be 60 odd laps following an AMG Merc.

Yep, like Silverstone.  Every round should be heald at Silverstone. Just up the road from you.  :P  ;D

As you've agreed with before, and as I've always said, my complaint has always been the quality of the tv coverage.  ::)

Where. Past tense. You'll never be happy with f1 until aero is removed by the sound of it?

I love the Monaco race, its one I never miss. I am already say in the garden with a beer waiting for it to start :)

Sent the mrs to the shops to buy some roadkill for the bar-be-que so I'm happy today although I was cursing the Omega earlier coz I couldn't get the wheels off.

Gutted Donnington lost the F1.  I'll have to be a bloody hermit again for the weekend.  And no chance of going to Tiffins that weekend  >:(

Aero needs to either be reduced dramatically, to enable genuine racing, or increased - ground effects et al - to become a demonstration of whats possible.

Pedro de la Rosa. HRT. - "I don't particularly like Monaco.... Too dangerous for modern f1. Great place, great atmosphere, but it's not a REAL race that I look forward to"

Prosecution rests. :)
So PdlR is gay poof then.  And a nobody.

No event on the calendar is a REAL race. REAL races were banned by the FIA years ago.
thats what i said weeks ago tb :y :y
