Did you get the system fitted in the end then? I got the impression you told them to remove it and ram it.....

The RAC lubed them selfs up and begged for mercy to be fair, got a few quid of them and the Sat Nav fee's paid for 12 months, so once I had chilled out a bit I was quite happy with the system, Guess I just got a complete pleb of a fitter

PAYG Insurance ?

Never heard of that before.

Any chance of somemore info please.  Having done only 4500 in 18 months and doing less and less due to mobility issues I wonder if it would be benifical for me.

Found the above link on the RAC site but the link is down

What period of time was that over, Jon? about 3 months IIRC?

In that case, seems to work out cheap for low mileage drivers. Would probably be about even for me doing about 18K a year, all other things being equal.

I looked at this a while ago but NU couldn't tell me what the foreign use tariff would be. Is there any indication in your policy about what it costs to take the car abroad. I usually do Calais to Pals ( near Estartit ) about 2100 miles round trip from Dover If you have time could you have a look please. Many thanks.

The bill is in work. I'll scan it in as it has a brake down of all te charges, I think european use is about 0.8 pence a mile off the top of head

you get a button on the dash, when you press it you get threw to a call center like on the USA On star system, you tell the person where you are going and the programe your route, you then get spoken directions via a hidden speaker, good system, shame there is no screen but all quite neat and tidy
