Its on a contract with insurance and I'm due an upgrade in a couple of months so I'll just play it by ear and see what happens.  So far so good today though....  :-\   :)

You need more than heat to rid the phone of moisture as the water will often just condense on the inside of the phone delaying the problems and sometimes making them worse.

The airing cupboard, if warm, is great because it is very very dry and draws the moisture out.  Similar to the way rice would.

My worry would be salt too as it will lurk until it gets damp again, such as in your pocket, it could again just delay problems.

Rinsing with 70% alcohol will flush out the crap, wipe it down as best you can once it has evaporated and leave it in the airing cupboard for a couple of days.

And like others have said, then buy a real phone  ;D

Don't you diss my gayPhone. Its over 2.5yrs old, longest I've tolerated a smartphone. I just does what I need it to do.
