Most expensive Tech2 Diagnostics ever?
« on: 28 October 2006, 10:10:48 »

Just been into VX Dealer to get an oil filter that actually fits my car, and enquired how much it would they would charge me for an airbag light to be reset (I knocked the wiring loom under the drivers seat in a recent cleanout).

£76   :o

Unbelievable...  Robbing B******s sprang to mind!

Think I'll be buying a cheap Tech2 cable/adapter thing.

What's the most anyone else has been quoted for Tech2 stuff?  This must be one of the highest!!??

Try another dealer.  That's ridiculous.  Or go talk to a mechanic round the back.

'Normal' price is around £25-35.

'The Boy' may be able to do it for you if you fancy a short drive down south.

Most standard dealer prices are £45 for simple resets, rising to silly amounts for reprograms/reconfigs...
