Promised wifey i would get the garden done for her this year...(not finished yet ) so built the pond and a nice outside log burner in front of my old office (shed) great hides the shed when all plants start to grow.

The shed was converted into two areas one with all our personal stuff in behind the pond with a single door now removed  the other accessed by a double door which has timber rack and tools etc but i found if i removed a small shelf unit i could still squeeze into the personal side of the shed from the tool side result as the shed is absolutley full ( house refurb on going)

Thought we would set up the BBQ last weekend only been in the box for 4 years wehey wedding gift etc its stored in the personal side of the shed and its to big even out of the box to fit through the opening. Now got to empty thewhole contents of one side of the shed to get the damm thing out

thanks bigtime its nice to see some flowers in the garden even if they are still in pots, not much more to do just in time for the long summer

OH yes and if anyone knows anything about ponds ie best fish plants etc it my first one and i know nothing only how expensive they are (now)   so far we have turned off the LV filter to allow the pond to mature i did buy a packet of bacteria type stuff to speed things up which you are supposed to put in the filter but the filter is lower than the pond level so that did not work without emptying half the pond first so put the bag in the pond 2 bags 1 per week and thats as far as i got so far

when i can get the BBQ out imagine what a builders shed looks like and double it  would be easier climbing everest than getting the BBQ out.......i ve already started half way there and filled up the extension ive just built, its a shell at the moment fourtunatley  and a 4yard skip

That's a great job PLJ well done.

  I loved the bit about the BBQ - that's the kind of stunt I'd pull.

If you're planning to have any kind of open fire in that opening for any length of time I'd watch the roofline of the shed for possible damage caused by hot gasses exiting the chimney and the shed wall for heat damage should there be an insufficient air-gap between it and the rear wall of the chimney - please do not ask me how I know about this.

Gentleman Bob.great to hear from you.....if i kew you were coming for a BBQ the fridge would be full and the BBQ would be out tomorrow would be an absolute pleasure to see you and the family......your more than welcome anytime or the boys or the mad lady if they wanted to pop down and use the spare room Jane would love to see them

thankyou Dummkopf Den but think it should be more like Dignified Den  as always a pleasure reading your post.....there is a gap behind the chimney did wonder if it was high enough though

Bob more than welcome mate let me know a bit in advance if you did Jane would be well upset if she had to work unless of course she got man flue for the weekend, would be great to see you are you able to get to any of the meets this year
