Ten days to MOT and el. issues

Hy guys, it has been such a nice long time without EML on, but today after going to work, floored it from gas station to motorway and here it goes.
Codes 0130 - sensor circuit high/low and 0560 - batery voltage high/low
Asuming it is connected somehow to ocasionally dimming of dashboard lights on cold start, could it be alternator going fubar?

check voltage with engine running,, also check earths and battery terminals.

Thanks frecall666, that's what I'm going to do ASAP , probably tomorrow morning because I'm working now and don't have voltmeter with me

I checked voltage today,
Batery has 12,8V
when turning key to egnite 11,5V
No air-con
800rpm- 14,1V
1500rpm-14,2V
2500rpm-14,2V
Air-con ON
800rpm-14,0V
1500rpm-14,0V
2500rpm-14,0V
Doesn't seem to be any fault there or is it?

somtimes it can be a sensor giving  the low volts, or electrical fault, like radio,lights,heated seats switch, if you rest the codes and take off the cam sensor and then see what codes come up, if no change in code aswell as cam sensor, then check volts with radio etc one one at a time. also if you have tow bar electrics check them to, make sure there is no water in the socket.

I don't think the problem is anything to do with the cam sensor. ;)

Alternator output looks fine to me. Has the car had a flat battery recently? Maybe that has caused a stored code?

P0130 relates to bank 1 pre-cat Lambda sensor. It would be good to look at the live data if you can get hold of a code reader. Check that the lambda sensor output "wakes up" and starts toggling reasonably soon after startup and also check what the fuel trim values are doing.

Then clear the codes (which will probably reset the fuel trims too) and see if the code returns.

You can also check the supply voltage measured by the engine ECU in the live data. :y
