Couldn't resist
« on: 15 June 2012, 23:13:07 »

Not a car but still uses petrol. I've been avoiding riding my current bike due to its weight and my gammy ankle not getting on. It's fine when moving but at a stand still or trying to paddle the bike around I've nearly dropped it a number of times. So fearing that my ankle will eventually cost me my riding I wanted a new bike which saddens me to say will probably be my last ever bike. Been riding since 86 I'm 42 this year and always thought I'd ride forever but i know it will get to much for me at some point. So I've been toying and thinking about what I should do. So been looking for something light and fun. well I had the most amazing test ride today and ended up putting a deposit on this

Well not this very one as mine is still at the factory being built!!!! Raided the accessories catalogue s well. Got quite a good deal but I did spend more than I planned but if this is to be my last ever bike I wanted it to be perfect.

Hope you got that exhaust with it, instead of that awfull stock under the seat thing.

But yes they have a lovely bark do the triples. Best of luck with it and the ankle. :y

Looks nice  :y

For me its the height of bikes, I've tried sports bikes but I struggle, participially with my legs/knees. A lot of these big sports don't work well for lanky gits like me  ;D

Excellent , probably release a few more horses not that you will need it  :y Best sounding exhaust i had was a full  Akrapovic exhaust on an RSV1000 with modified open airbox , my legs or back wont take the sport bike stance anymore  :(

Had a RSV Millie R myself. Was a yellow one. Had the air box mod where the tank becomes the air filter lid, over sized throttle bodies, Edwards chip and a lovely exhaust. Was killed by a tractor in Dorset  :'( Along with me almost!!!!

Yep it's a R. Speed triple R is 11k so that's the first reason I didn't get it. Second is the weight. Speed triple isn't much lighter than my current bike. I currently have the 1050 engine and also wanted to try something new.
