Yep, most likely a generic pattern part used by a less than meticulous accident repairer IMHO.

Sorry to be incredibly dense, going through the link I noticed there are also 3 wires going to your motor (in the pic) (same as mine). I didnt take the triangle piece inside the door off.

The mirror used in the guide was a non-Elite ;)
