roof rack
« on: 21 June 2012, 19:18:05 »

Probably a stupid question, but does one exist for a F/L saloon?

If so, recommendations?

Really only want it for short stepladders, and the occasional lightweight bit of trunking etc.

I bought a set of bars off the bay of e ...   feet were Thule 951 (4 needed) , bars were Thule 761 (2 needed) ... although bought for bikes/roofbox, I have carried a ladder a few times, a settee (don't ask  :) ), a rather long aerial pole, and a folding wheelchair ... but not all at the same time !!!  :)

useful things are roof bars .. :)

The black part of the inner part of the door area, open the door, look at the top black edge, see an indentation, this is where the clamps go  :y

Theres a cutout under the door frame, more like 2 inchs from memory, with the VX roof rack theres a rubber sleve that slots into this and folds over into the gutter bit to gie protection to the paint work.
