this annoying stuff seems to like plastic to grow on 



What is the best way / stuff to buy to remove this stuff and is these anything i can use to prevent it

Sorry but I dont know of anything that will prevent this green "algae" from coming back. I think it is the same stuff you get on your gutters and paths and well everywhere so it just re-appears

I have used hot soapy water and a toothbrush to clean it up but it does come back 

I will be waiting for replies on this with great interest especially for the seal around the sunroof. that bit always "bugs" me 

Just thought maybe bleach although I dont know of the effect that will have on the rest of the car

most of its moss from tree's or setaled water.

yeah thats fine can get cheaper stuff use one cap to one liter of water, and use a cheap kitchen pad to wash it with sponge type with the green bit on the back 25p in wilkos. wash it and leave to dry then re-doit  and was off with some warm water. leave for a few days then give mig a good wash and wax dont t-cut car for a wile as the acid stick to the parts were you have washed off the moss etc. dont harm the paint as its lemon base cleaner. and no toxic. parts that you cannot get to will go black, use an old tooth brush to get it out. should be fine then and not come back well not for long wile. there is also pond cleaner that dose the same no harmfull to paint work works on rubber and dose not change the rubbers colour look for this work in cleaner bottle ALGAECIDE. think got some from home base £4 dose swimming pools and ponds

Get a couple of toothbrushes, and some Daisy all purpose cleaner from Tescos. Mix it up warm, about 1:10 dilution, and use that to scrub all the rubbers and plastic.

 Then use Gummi Pflege (available online) on the rubbers, and some black trim sealant (I use Dodo Juice's, but they're all much of a muchness) on the plastic.
