had a diagnostic check on my 2.2.and it showed fault with air flow mass meter.changed that.but didnt solve problem.then i noticed temp gauge wasnt working.could this b related?.had to disconect air flow mass meter.otherwise car stalls.any clues anyone

I'd get the temp guage fixed first.(sender unit?) not sure if on your has seperate temp sender units, one for theguage and one for ecu readings but it possible your ECU (computer) isnt being told the correct engine temp and is getting "confused" with that reading and all the others its getting so is either defulting or trying to compensate making it run like that. maybe!?

Is it a genuine Vauxhall MAF? Believe Siemens make them if I remember right.
