Had a bad day yesterday what with one thing and another , now only to find the washing machine has thrown a wobbly and packed up  Anyone know where to get a bargain price used one or cheap new one , ive looked at the local ads but nothing about

I'd go for a new one, EMD. We paid less than two hundred notes for our last one. For some unknown reason all new machines only seem to come with a cold fill these days.

In the past they've always been supplied with both a hot and cold fill. Weird.

I'd go for a new one, EMD. We paid less than two hundred notes for our last one. For some unknown reason all new machines only seem to come with a cold fill these days.

In the past they've always been supplied with both a hot and cold fill. Weird.

Was thinking new and the lowest ive seen them is £179 delivered from argus , we were lucky with our old one as we got it for £20 out the free adds and lasted a year . Always something to throw a spanner in the works

The one thats packed up is oldish but has cold fill only , seems £170-200 is the lowest .

Strange. Even when we have hot water available, it still heats up the cold. Why take away the hot fill?

Don't know why they took the hot fill away, probably to do with global warming

One reason I saw given was that they can't 'A rate' a machine unless they know how much energy is needed to heat the hot water; and they can't know that if it's not the rated machine doing it.. so hot fills are relegated to <B ratings.

Gumtree is always worth a look  for a used one as a temporary measure. . .   good chance of finding something close to you & cheap on there.

More private sellers on there I have found

Whats up with it?? sometimes easily fixable!!

Its making a horrible rumbling grating sound when on full spin , apart from that everything works .Sounds like
bearings have gone or mounting , shake rattle and roll like a bag of spanners

i got mine a couple of months ago from comet for £179 6kg load does the job and is an indesit
