What do you mean of late?
And yes, you should go for a tour. If you can get a group together, it's an interesting evening out, with a decent meal.

If you like Shepherd Neame beer, the Ship & Trades at Dockside always serves it perfectly. And they always have the seasonal beer, which is currently Whitstable Bay.

None of those mentioned so far are particularly heavy; the closest Shepherd Neame come to that is Bishops Finger. Which is an acquired taste and hard to find on draught.

Whitstable Bay. :-*

The amateur radio contest that I do first weekend in July in Kent features a local shepherd neame pub. In previous years we have descended on it for lunch, left to put some antennas up then returned in the evening for some much needed refreshment. Normally we've finished the 9 of Whitstable bay between us by the end of the evening. ;D

Turned up this weekend to find a new landlord, and Master Brew only. :(

The Plough, IIRC, in Brabourne Lees.

Relocated to the Blue Anchor for the evening this year.. Landlady and bar staff turned out to give us (12 pi##ed blokes) a lift there and back. Can't complain at that service. :D
