Hiya fellas,

As per title really.

Noticed this on Fleabay and was just wondering what i should be looking for if i viewed it.

Don't know much about these but think it has the Rotax engine which i seem to recall is pretty solid. Is it belt or chain drive? If its belt, how long do they last? Any known problem areas to check?

Any advice as always appreciated

Don't know much about them, sorry, its not a proper BMW bike, its not shaft drive

Dunno anything about them either, aside from the usual lock stops examination and fairing wiggling for crash damage.

I had, many years back, an Aprilia pegaso 650, used the same rotax engine. its a punchy single, not to bad on fuel either

yeah, but include a destination over 50miles away in that race and we'll still win.

I prefer big 4's myself (think turbo nutter bastard) so can't comment on the reliability of the motor, but it's only up the road from me and I'd be more than happy to give it the once over for the rest of the stuff (eg, swingarm bushes, headstock bearings, etc) with you if you like?

FWIW, it does get good write up's wherever I look on the net (eg, MCN, etc).

are you a big bloke?
have you sat on one of these?
depending what you want a bike for i think there are better options.

6'3" and about 17.5 stone. Only after it due to the M4 issues and the total chaos the Olympics is going to cause in London with dropping lanes out etc.
