tricky question about aircon piping
« on: 11 July 2012, 12:49:39 »

Car came from mchanic today, no luck with aircon regassing.
He found the problem, one of the aluminium pipes is damaged and leaking.
I need the car today so he couldn't fix it
Also could not give me the estimate of time he needs to remove the pipe (plan is to weld the damage).

The pipe in question is the large one withblack valve on it that goes paralel with the engine and turns right after the engine (when it turns the damage is two inches after that).

Does anyone know what needs to be removed to release this pipe (does whole piping need to be removed or this pipe only)
I need some estimate in hours how much time it takes to remove this.
The mechanic is a friend and definitely not trying to trick me, but he really isn't sure cause never did this on a mig before

Breaker seems the obvious route to me  :-\ :-\ :-\

Although you are not in the UK . .    but should still be a viable way out  :)
