Coming back from France about 8yrs ago, unable to find a hotel, we slept in the MV6. Stuff on back seat, so slept in front seats. MV6 sports leather.

Never again. Ever.
I should help, my sleep was not helped by the fact we'd parked next to a refrigerated unit, and that the (French Autoroute) layby only had a hole in the ground, making me concerned about 'morning rituals'

Ooher dont like the sound of that especially if a shared one  :(

French Autoroutes have 2 types of 'services' - the type we see on our UK motorways, albeit a bit smaller - these are normally about every 30-50km.  The other type, about every 10-15km, is usually just an area with picnic tables, a small carpark, and *IF* it has anything at all, a hut with a hole in the ground for squatting over, not dissimilar to some Arabic countries.

Confirms my assertion that it is not a place which should ever be visited by civilised people. :)

Why? Because they do it so much better than the UK ;)

Having slept in an omega as the stand flooded I can say that heavy rain on the bootlid is a sleep-killer!

However, the results are in!

Head in boot with duvets, pillows etc. - Really comy, but with legs on the seat backs elevated slightly I was getting a weird feeling in my legs, poss from blood circ!
Other way around was OK but bit hard on back but you are viewable - the metal cutout behind the seats helped with a couple of long bolster pillow things.
Slept hostage style in duvet with legs almost entirely tucked up in boot in the end. And the handle was useful for popping up to see if we were underwater yet!!

My old cav CDi had amazingly dozable brown-velour seats in it back in the day!

problem with the saloon is the back seats don't fold flat enough....

When I've wanted to nap, I've put the drivers seat back, almost flat in the CD spec, as back goes much further than than Leccy Elite seats.

There's a man too young to have experienced an evening hour of passion in the back of a proper Mini.
