would the author be our very own Martin Imber
 would it be possible to fit a Vectra VXR engine in to a Omega ????
as suggested by Total Vauxhall

i have asked the same  thing before, it cant be done because its Front Wheel Drive and the Omega is rear. At least thats what i got told :y

There are some daft buggers about.

Its a donk, nothing more.

Bolt a rear wheel drive box to it, sort the wiring out (immobilisier might be interesting!), fab some mounts, re-position the turbo and away you go.

Probably easier to fit in an Omega due to the room under the bonnet!

Cav and Vectra are FWD and use the same engines as the omega range, bar the TD

Funny we should mention the VXR Lump, helping a mate transplate one to a 06 Corsa some time this month.

Always fancyed sticking a Red top Turbo lump in my old carlton, but one never came up cheap whilst I had her

well theres something i never new, i would love to do a VXR Monaro engine, that would be cool

No - didn't contact them on that

Current plan is going to be a Y32SE with AR35, with all work done before fitting including a compression increase if possible, planning on doing it in 2010 (when I can afford a Y32SE)

if Marks DTM was here I would definitely try V8 engine with a

supercharger..
