When we redid the bathroom all the old bits, including a steel bath, were dumped in the fron garden awaitng a chance to get them to the tip. A knock at the door later 'Can we take the bath?' ' Sure, if you take the sink and toilet too'.

The blokes faces was a picture, but they took the lot :y

Hmm. I've got a Granada Scorpio rear subframe in my garden... I'd be delighted if someone would nick it. ???

I went to visit a friend. They were out......but the side door was open and the tell-tale white flatbed was parked outside. I went round to the back and they were eyeing up the innards to an old piano that had taken four of us half an hour to drag up the garden.
Hello mate, can I help you?
Ermmmm......
Do you want that?
Yeah.
Right. Take it then.
It took them about ten minutes (good going :y ) to get it to the front. They were persistent little swines but when they got it to the van....they couldn't lift it on.
Any chance of a...........
Sorry mate, it's me back yer know....

They got it up eventually but I doubt they were fit for anything else that day. ;D ;D

You may be pleasantly surprised if you can get it to a scrap metal dealer to have it weighed in ....

For the last 12 months, we've had an old washing machine round the back of our house. (I've been meaning to shift it. Honest!  ;))

Anyway, now we have the scaffolding up and space is at a premium, SWMBO and I lugged it through Nickbat Towers a couple of days ago. We got it through the front door and left it near the top of the steps. The intention was to lug it down the steps and heave it into SWMBO's Corsa and thence on to the dump. Not a job I was looking forward to. :( :(

Someone has since nicked it.

RESULT!  :y :y

My late mum was required to leave her colostomy bags out in a secure container for collection by a hazardous collection firm. One morning after putting it out the night before, she had a knock from the collector. " Where is your container Mrs L?" Slow dawning of truth and huge mirth imagining the picture as the disappointed thief opened his booty! ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D

I feel sorry for the neighbours!!  ::) ::) ::)

On the face of it Nickbat comes across as an educated, reasonable, right thinking fellow but scratch the surface and he's a right old pikey with a back garden full of scrap!!  :o :o :o ;D ;D ;D

Oi! I know where you live... >:(

One night, I'll be round in my F-reg, no-MoT, Transit and have the wheels off your Miggy.  ;) ;D ;D ;D

But not for three weeks or so. You can't go anywhere without an olympics sticker. ;D

The Old Bill are pretty hot on Pikeys round here!  ::)  An old lady down the road got conned into getting contracted some travelling folk to get her paths done and the Police turned up smartish and Oooops them off!!!  :y
