Stopping Smoking
« on: 06 August 2012, 18:56:15 »

Well thats a week now without a fag ... woke up last Monday morning and thought that it , enough .
So went to my local chemist and signed  on to there no smoking program thingy .

Now i've tried umpteen times before and always failed  :'(.... i seem to find it harder as time goes by than getting easier . Last time i lasted 3 months .

Got these Niquitin Mini's that look like tic-tacs and the Niquitin Spray thingy all free for joining this program thing .
Anyway yesterday and today have been a struggle but up untill then its been easy .
The mouth spray thing is great though ... two sprays and the relief is instant  ;D

So for anyone else thinking about quitting these things are good ... Im not saying Ive quit yet but these are much better than the patches Ive tried before .

I was sitting in the gazebo at one point surrounded by smokers , i had to run away and hide for 10 mins in the house with my spray  ;D

You gota hate it. Hate it like its trying to kill you and rob you all at once. Would you stand for that if a person did that to you? No. Never give in, ever.

You can do it. Keep fighting the bugger. You can do it. Kill the fags, stamp on them in your mind. Grind them to dust, kill the fags.

...well that was my approach anyway. ;D

Keep at it chaps. Best of luck. :y

Maybe that's your biggest mistake. You should really be saying to yourself (and anyone who wants to listen) that you've given up.

Took me from the age of 14 to the age of 40 to stop. Never thought I could do it (although I as forever trying). Similarily,I suddenly decided Id had enough one day and bought a nicotine inhalator instead. It took a few months ,but I got to the point where I cant stand the smell of them, and if someone who smokes even walks past its the worst smell in the world.Keep at it,you,ll get there. :y

I decided at 40 i would give up and had it set in my mind six months before hans, so on my Birthday that was it and i've been clean 7 months now and i'd never go back the thought of putting one in my mouth now is disgusting!! keep at it i was smoking 30 a day and didn't think i could do it but it is doable!.
