Diagnostics tool
« on: 07 August 2012, 00:12:16 »

Got an SEPT 2000 Omega V6 2.5 Elite and a 1999 Merc CLK320 so was thinking investing in a Diagnostics reader....so what I need to know after conflicting info is where can I find out if the Omo is OBD2 compliant ... mine is the new shape so might just be on the edge ...anyone know if there is a look up page somewhere ,....something like one where you enter your reg plate or something

Unfortunately the 2.5s aren't OBDII compliant. :(

The Omega 2.5 is proprietry, and I would suspect a 1999 Merc would be as well, so little chance of finding a 'DIY' reader that does both. You'll be looking at the type of stuff that garages use, eg the Snap-Off type, which are normally too expensive to be useful.
