I highly, highly recommend Poole for a day - shops, seafront, and one of my favourite places on earth :y

Oh and if you fancy going to Sandbanks instead of paying through the nose for parking get there early, say before 8am and find a spot in the street in Sandbanks itself.  Go straight past the parking lots and tun right down any of the streets.  Used to be free but I must admit I haven't been for a year or two.  A trip over to Brownsea is nice too if you like a good ramble  :y

It is indeed, I moved there in 1985, worked for a few months but as I had not sold my house and my old company gave me an offer I could not refuse so returned North after about 6 months....... :-\ :-\
