Email Archive Reader dbx Software recommendations.
« on: 14 August 2012, 15:05:31 »

I got some old email back up files (dbx), mostly old Outlook Express which I dont use any more, question is I need to search and read / print some old emails but without having to reconstruct an whole new email system for the Archive File.

Any one recommend a good reader, preferably free, that I can use to do the job, had a quick google, theres hundreds out there, dont really want to be loading crap ones on the lappy, over a recommended one.

Thanks Chris.   :y :y

Reinstall Outlook Express, and export the mail, and import into your new client.

Thanks, but the reason I dont use express any more was I couldn't get to work with Win7 a few years back, hence Thunderbird now.

Its called Live! Mail now, and IIRC, you have to download it.

Yea, this all coming back to me now, did download Live, and seem to remember if I could get the import bit to work correctly or was just the fact I just couldn't get on with Live and went down the Thunderbird route.

Actually as Im typing this this I do remember now, Live didn't like the Large Attachments I had on some of the emails, wouldn't load it and then lost most of Address Book indexing.

Its probably the larger size emails Im need to read and print, hence I thought a good reader would do the job.
