Am I correct in the thinking that the majority of people have the opinion that criminals have it too easy???

Aren't the governments that we vote into power supposed represent what we want/need as a whole.

Where does that simple equation go wrong

First thing they all do is go for the human rights bit[and usually get some bleeding heart type to champion this]conveniently overlooking the fact that their victim also had those same human rights!!Are we too soft on criminals?too right we are!!
